PRIDE CERTAINLY HAS A FALL

Gorelal was a famous sculptor. His sculptures looked like real ones. One day he saw a dream that after fifteen days, the demon of Death would come to take him.
Gorelal prepared nine statues of himself and when on the 15th day he heard
the Demon of Death coming, he took his place between the statues. The Demon could not recognise him and was astonished to see ten Gorelals instead of one. He rushed back to the God of death and told the matter. The God of death got annoyed and set out to take Gorelal himself.
Gorelal was alert and stood motionless. The God of Death initially got perplexed. But he thought for a moment. He said, “Gorelal, these sculptures would have been perfect but for one mistake." Gorelal was unable to suffer the least blemish in his work. He came out and asked, "Where is the fault?" God of Death caught him and said, “HERE".
The statues were faultless but Gorelal was caught because of his pride.

Opportunities And Obstacles Are Blessings In Disguise

Opportunities and Obstacles?

What do you when you are faced with opportunities? How do you react when your much-awaited dream happens? Excitement and inexpressible joy.
I would like to ask you; how did you take the opportunity and how was it used?

Many times, we have missed opportunities or taken advantage of these opportunities and maximized them. The twist of our discussion is that we want to know how you handled obstacles found in the opportunities.
Opportunities are defined as appropriate or favorable time for attainment of a goal. Obstacles are known to be any force, physical, mental or spiritual that block one’s way to success of progress. They are also called stumbling blocks.
These obstacles pose themselves as nature or even human factored and look insurmountable. But do you know that once you are equipped with the right knowledge, you will understand how best to handle obstacles and make them stepping stones.
Let me share the story of the donkey and the well.
One day a donkey fell into a well. The donkey cried profusely and piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the donkey was old and the well needed to be covered anyway. It wasn’t just worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began shoving dirt into the well.
At first the donkey realized what was happening and cried out horribly but no one listened. Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted down. Then the wise animal hit a plan.
As each spade-full of dirt hit his back, the donkey would dust it off and take a step up on the growing mound of the earth. Eventually, the mound grew high enough for him to step out and happily trotted off.
Life is going to shove all kinds of dirt on you. The trick is to getting out of the well is to shaking the dirt off and taking a step up. We can get to the deepest side of the well with many obstacles coming from various quarters we least expected. But we must shake them off and step on the heap to move on up!
Stay hopeful and cheerful! Be like the wise donkey and step up above your obstacles.

(STORY OF REGRET)

A man was polishing his new car; his 4 year old daughter picked up a stone and scratched on the side of the car. In anger, the furious Man took his child’s hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the man realized that the child lost all her fingers due to multiple fractures.
When the child saw her father, with painful eyes he asked ‘Dad when will my fingers grow back?’ The man was so hurt and speechless. He went back to the car and kicked it many times. Devastated by his own actions, sitting in front of the car he looked at the scratches, His daughter had written ‘LOVE YOU DAD’.

MORAL LESSONS
Remember, Anger and Love have no limit. Always remember that “Things are to be used and people are to be loved”. But the problem in today’s world is that “People are being used & Things are being loved”.
